Having seen the film, I agree that Emma Stone’s nomination for Best Actress at the 98th Academy Awards for her role was well deserved. Her performance was unforgettable.  This project marks another brilliant chapter for this trio. What makes “Bugonia” so gripping is how it mirrors our current world. The film’s focus on conspiracy theories and the blurring of reality feels more relevant today than ever before. Stone and Plemons previously showcased their incredible chemistry in “Kinds of Kindness” and this marks Stone’s fourth major collaboration with Lanthimos following the award-winning “The Favourite” and “Poor Things” (which earned her a second Oscar).
